 Brian
Koontz
Brian grew up as a military kid whose family finally settled
in a small farming community inIllinois. He studied art at
Parkland College and the University of Illinois. Over the
past 20 years he has been fortunate to have worked with many
great artists such as Norman Courtney, Martin Blank, and
Dale Chihuly to name a few.
As a body worker and artist, Brian is fascinated with the
human form. His work is an abstract interpretation of the
human body - how it moves, gestures and stands in space. His
focus is on capturing movement with form, color and brush
strokes. In his glass work he leaves tool marks as a
reminder to the viewer of the presence he had in making the
work.
